These sections act as a tool to assist students with music theory.

Major Keys and Chords

This section displays all triad chords within each key and it is built within a single scene through the help of extensive timeline use. Each key down the bottom directs to a specific time within the timeline where all the parts are in the correct spaces. This was an absolute monster of a job as it was highly tedious.

Scale and Chord Staff, and Revision of Sharps and Flats

This section lets users drag notes and other symbols around and can be used to sketch scales, key signatures, and chord symbols. This was an effort to mock-up something that functioned somewhat like a notation tool, as it is completely out of the capabilities of Hype to create something like NoteFlight, which was something we wanted to do as well.

Notation Section

Sadly, this part of the app was impossible (at least to us) to create in Hype so it was decided we wouldn’t waste time trying to develop it. We were able to add some manuscript paper which users can drag around, however, the whole idea of note input, playback, and other exciting features were just impossible. For the purpose of our project, we are merely stating that if the app was developed for professionals, there would be a notation system incorporated into the app for the ultimate all in one experience.

Audio and Video Recorder

Exactly what it says on the tin, we planned to have a section that allowed users to record their own audio and video. Sadly, this just doesn’t work in Hype and we did not pursue this for the wireframe.
